List of registered
Prerequisites
List of at least 10 teachers from the school (or students for student pages) with email or phone addresses. Photos from digital phones or cameras would be a great bonus!
Audience
Two separate classes one for high school teachers and directors, the other for students. The schools can designate two persons to attend the classes. A third separate class for students and professors from Mali Higher Education institutions.
This organization probably has schools that they have worked with outside of Bamako which they could invite. http://www.clicmali.org/ The instructor(s) would be happy to invite any of their personnel to workshops as well
Goals
- Bring the schools into the "MaliWatch Lycee Web" - temporary name.
- Give a common site so that teachers of the same subject area can find each other.
- Share curriculum - teachers must provide and original curriculum for this activity.
Instruction
- downloading photos from cameras or cards
- attaching photos of teachers and emailing them to a webmaster
- Designating a few interested teachers to be linked to blank pages of the website
- Collecting student photos
- write a short introduction to their school
- collecting Mali-specific curriculum which could be shared across Mali
- training in Photoshop or Gimp for resizing pictures and resolution
If possible Teachers should collect info and photos before coming to the training session.
Email with web storage for backup of documents on local computers. While everyday use of on-line applications is not practical for Mali this still makes a great, free backup for computers which may be old or servers not backed up securely.
