Abstract: The use of modeling and simulation is increasingly important in basic and applied research. The objective of this session is to give an overview of methods and tools as well as a diverse overview of applications in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and Telecom. It aims to promote a multidisciplinary approach by promoting interactions between stakeholders from different disciplines. Interventions cover areas as diverse as :
- Health: modeling the spread of epidemics ( AIDS , meningitis, malaria) , calculation of structure and interaction energy of solvation of molecular systems of biological interest (strand proteins, drugs, DNA bases, etc.) receptor ligand interaction (Flexible docking).
- Climate: modeling of climate variations from the processing and analysis of data from the "GLOBE" program.
- Materials: mechanical properties of materials, surface reactivity, adsorption, supramolecular organization.
- Nanotechnology: mechanical, electronic, optical and thermal properties of nanomaterials and applications.
- Environment: flow of surface water and groundwater, remediation of water contaminated with heavy metal cations units tanning and dyeing.
- Renewable energy: determining the electronic properties of semiconductors for photovoltaic applications, domestic refrigeration adsorption phenomena or diffusion through the porous walls of clay.
