Predictive maintenance strategy and industrial prognosis

Abstract

Maintenance is a key element of sustainable development strategy in the industrial field. In addition, maintenance is also a vector of technology transfer in developing countries. New technologies related to electronics and computers have enabled the development of high performance industrial equipment but high complexity.

Controlling the operation of such equipment is becoming more difficult and requires a good knowledge in engineering.

The new trend is an industrial process for monitoring the health status of equipment. The aim is anticipating failures based on the techniques of industrial prognosis. This entire process is to the extension of the life of the equipment (DEVT durable), the increase in the availability and cost reduction.
